Café Associate: 18+

Hours: Two shifts positions available
Shift 1:
9:30am – 5pm, 3 days/ week and 11:30am - 5pm 1 day/ week for a total of 4 working days per week which includes every other weekend and scheduled holidays
Shift 2: 11:30am - 5pm 3 days per week which includes every other weekend and scheduled holidays

Café team members sell and distribute a variety of food and beverage items, including alcohol. Duties include providing a clean, welcoming environment for visitors, restocking food, beverages, supplies, and service areas, and daily cleanings and upkeep of the Café and Western Town area.

Qualifications: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older due to serving alcohol. A friendly, welcoming demeaner is necessary to work with visitors and coworkers every day.

Physical Requirements: Some lifting is required along with long periods of standing.

Cafe Team Member

Hours: 11:30am - 5pm, 3 days/ week which includes every other weekend and scheduled holidays

Café team members sell and distribute a variety of food and beverage items. Duties include providing a clean, welcoming environment for visitors, restocking food, beverages, supplies, and service areas, and daily cleanings and upkeep of the Café and Western Town area.

Qualifications: A friendly, welcoming demeaner is necessary to work with visitors and coworkers every day.

Physical Requirements: Some lifting is required along with long periods of standing.

Guest Services - Tickets & Souvenirs Team Member

Hours: 9am – 5pm in the Souvenir Shop
9:30am - 2:30/3pm in the ticket booth
3- 4 days/ week rotating between both areas which includes every other weekend and scheduled holidays

Tickets and souvenir team members greet and interact with each visitor- making their visit both pleasant and memorable. These team members rotate working in both areas throughout the week creating a well-rounded staff member. Tickets team members act as the zoo’s first impression by welcoming visitors and assist them in purchasing tickets and checking in pre-purchased tickets. Souvenir team members act as both the first and last impression of the zoo by thanking guests for visiting, as well as greeting and checking in our season pass holders. Team members also assist guests in purchasing gifts.
Duties also include the cleaning and upkeep of the tickets area, parking lots, and souvenir shop as well as restocking merchandise in the gift shop.

Morning Grounds Maintenance

Hours: 7am – 11:30am, 3- 4 days/ week which includes every other weekend and scheduled holidays

Morning maintenance team members oversee and maintain the cleaning of the zoo’s grounds before guests arrive.  Duties include poop scooping behind the deer and birds through the entire zoo and filling coin feeders before visitors arrive, refilling feed cans, and raking and weed whacking zoo grounds.

Qualifications: A friendly, welcoming demeaner is necessary to work with visitors and coworkers every day.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds along with long periods of standing.

Nursery Team Member

Hours: 7:45am – 4:45pm, 3 - 4 days/ week which includes every other weekend and scheduled holidays

Nursery team members assist in caring for the zoo’s small animals and neonates, as well as provides guests with a hands-on, educational experience. Duties include feeding and watering animals, monitoring basic animal health, handling animals for visitor education and conversing with them, unloading and moving feed, and cleaning animal enclosures such as changing beddings, raking, and shoveling.

Qualifications: A friendly, welcoming demeaner is necessary to work with visitors and coworkers every day. A basic knowledge of animal husbandry is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds along with long periods of standing.

Animal Care Intern

Our animal care interns oversee the care of the zoo’s native, exotic, and domestic animals during our summer season.
